First two years in the life of a fledgling Serra Club is a long time. To recognize this anniversary, His Excellency Bishop Joseph was gracious enough to invite all of us to celebrate with him this event which took place at the Sacred Heart Cathedral and the Parish Hall on December 7, 2019. The Celebration was very successful, and we were able to interact and enjoy the presence of His Excellency in a small gathering for quite a few hours. During the Celebration, His Excellency took the opportunity to review his vision for vocations and the status of our plan for building the Culture of Vocation in our Diocese. He emphasized that the important components of this plan are:
- The Diocese needs Serra Kamloops and each member of Serra to help realize our goals for vocations development.
- The Serra executive must be professional and committed to working toward these goals.
- All members must be involved in making the local Club strong and vibrant.
We all listened attentively, and when it came to time sign up for committee work, 80% of the members present expressed their commitment. We would like to express our sincere thanks to His Excellency Bishop Joseph for inviting the whole Club to celebrate our anniversary, and for his unwavering and strong support. Serra will not let you down!
